I will participate as a UNICEF journalist interviewing the world leaders, youth activists, environmentalists etc. on Climate Change. Questions about Climate Change will be asked by high-profile persons and regularly updated on the Channel to support international conferences or summits in the lead to COP15 in December 2009.

9/20 HUMAN COUNTDOWN: A CLIMATE WAKE UP CALL
DATE: Sunday, September 20, 2009. 1pm for main event. 9am for early birds.

Join thousands in creating a massive human sculpture in New York's Central Park to urge world leaders to achieve a fair, ambitious, and binding global climate treaty. As world leaders prepare to meet at the United Nations on September 22nd to discuss the urgent issue of climate change, citizens will gather in Central Park to create a Human Countdown. This international media photo opportunity will demonstrate the TIME TO ACT IS RUNNING OUT.
9/21 THE AGE OF STUPID GLOBAL PREMIERE GREEN CARPET
The world’s biggest and greenest live film premiere. At 7.30pm on Monday 21st September, A-list celebrities will walk the green carpet to our solar-powered cinema tent in downtown Manhattan. Following the screening of The Age of Stupid, there will be a panel discussion featuring Kofi Annan, Mary Robinson, Gillian Anderson, star of the film Pete Postlethwaite and the film’s director Franny Armstrong. There will be live music from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, plus live satellite links to scientists in the Indonesian rainforests and at the melting glaciers in the Himalayas which provide drinking water for hundreds of millions of people in India and Bangladesh. A group of children will speak from the very room in Copenhagen in which all our futures will be decided at the UN climate summit in December. The film and live event will be broadcast live and in HD to over 400 cinemas across the US on September 21st (7:30 PM ET/ 6:30 PM CT/ 5:30 PM MT/ tape delayed 8PM PT). 9/22 URBAN GREEN EXPO
Metropolitan Pavilion at the Altman Building - 125 West 18th Street New York, NY
The Urban Green Expo is set to be the Northeast region’s premier educational green building conference and trade expo. The event will explore the opportunities and challenges of the sustainability movement with a focus on those topics of most pressing concern to the densely developed Northeast region, including: retrofitting of existing buildings, integrated design, passive systems, storm water control, and the built environment as an urban eco-system. The program will feature a keynote address by a pioneer of the sustainability movement, an impressive roster of speakers from industry, and more than 20 individual educational sessions, off-site tours, and LEED Workshops.

The week will host a series of high-level meetings, panel discussions, cultural events and public engagements to address and underscore the urgency for action on climate change.
Taking place just seventy days before the UN Climate Change Conference (COP15) and coinciding with the US Senate process, Climate Week NY˚C will provide a platform for business, government and citizens to demonstrate their support for world leaders to secure an ambitious, fair and binding global deal in Copenhagen.
Climate Week NY˚C is a partnership between The Climate Group, United Nations, UN Foundation, City of New York, the Government of Denmark, TckTckTck and Carbon Disclosure Project.
